""Illadelph Elohim" is boosted by lyrical turns from Rucker Pawk and Last Emperor while DJ Devastate scratches across the hook; Chuck Rukkuz goes for the throat on the blunted "In The Green"; and "Changing Scenery" closes out the album on a high note. Maylay, of course, gets ample credit on the closer, as he kicks fiery and personal bars. But it's the inclusion of his entire Muddy Fatique crew that makes it truly special. Also, given his love for his new stomping grounds in Denmark, it's only fitting that he ends his Renaissance joined by his international teammates." - Below System Records
With a host of talented guest wordsmiths combined with raw sound and cuts, Illadelph vet Maylay Sparks shows a serious dedication to the art of rhyme and hunger which fuels Hip Hop on his summer 2016 release "The Rebel's Renaissance". This illustrated rhyme flow by May, El Da Sensei, Rasco and more not only entertains but paints a vivid picture of the streets as the bravado and unique experiences of each MC portray the journey of rebels to society.
Remember this talented MC from Philadelphia? Here is a mixtape of material he's released over the years, a great listen if you haven't been able to keep up with all of them, I know he's been very low-key as an independent artist. You might have had to be a DJ/radio host to keep up with his releases, he's an artist who was at the beginning of the independent vinyl era at the late 90's. I remember he began to make some noise on the underground in the late 90's, but never rose to the acclaim I feel he truly deserves. His Facebook page says his next album Wizards Wardrobe will be released sometime in 09.
