Re-Discovery Fridays
Going into the weekend, I usually find myself taking a look back maybe a few years into my library for something good which I haven't listened to in awhile, a song that is memorable but may have not received as much recognition as I feel it really deserves. With the speed and abundance of online music release today, there are many times when I feel I'd like to slow down, go back to reflect on a single song that made me feel good just so I can put it back in rotation throughout the weekend.
Finale & Spier1200 "Eye Of The Beholder" (Feat. Invincible & Elzhi) has a strong jazz/Hip Hop vibe unlike anything I've heard in recent years. The song lends from a unique style of early-mid 90's Hip Hop in combining boom-bap with the most mellow of Jazz sounds as the musical background to each MCs deep, poetic imagery. From their album "Develop" on Soul Step Records.
