Dedicated to the memory of Heavy D, may he rest in peace and continue to inspire with the music & memories he's left us. This 1987 article of Spin Magazine features Heavy D & The Boyz in the beginning of their career, breaking some ground and gaining praise from their soul-laced single "Mr. Big Stuff". The song happens to be one of my all-time favorites from The Heavster, I still catch a vibe of fun, classic late 80's Hip Hop from his honest approach to the mic on "Mr. Mig Stuff", his style inspired many and helped make The Golden Era memorable.
