Curtis Mayfield's classic soundtrack "Superfly" receives a dedication as a group of talented musicians known as Mimic cover the LP nearly 40 years later after it's release at Reggie's Music Joint on South State Street in Chicago. This event pays tribute to one of the finest musical works to depict the dire state of 1970 inner city America, with an authentic Curtis Mayfield-style vocal performance from Paris Brightledge and soulful instrumentation from the ensemble.
