Lenny Marcus has a unique way of presenting modern Jazz music which is bound to draw your interest in his expansive approach to combining a number of soulful musical influences while paying tribute to the traditional sound of his mentors. The D.C. pianist mixes modern jazz, blues, and funk towards a mellow approach which combines influences of with elements of latin, afro cuban, classical music. With his trio, Lenny covers "The M*A*S*H* Theme" with a beautiful display of performance on the piano and pay a fine tribute to Ray Bryant with the Latin-influenced "Cubano Chant".

Lenny Marcus has studied and performed with legends such as Ray Bryant, Ellis Marsalis, Alvin Batiste, while recording with David “Fathead” Newman, Charlie Byrd and others. His albums "Distant Dreams" and "A Tribute To Ray Bryant" released in April of 2012 show his diversity and range as a musician, the former presents his wide-ranged approach to Jazz while the latter is more based on the sound of his late mentor Ray Bryant.
