This performance of The Roots at NYU college back in 1996 before the release of Illadelph Halflife is a memorable one in the vein of live Hip Hop backed by a band. The entire thing was about an hour of live jamming on the New York airwaves, so look out for it if you can find a copy online. Here I have a few of my own cassette rips of selected parts of the performance as recorded the day the performance actually occurred, and audio from the official snippet tape of Illadelph Halflife.
