NEXT Collective is a group of heavyweight US Jazz musicians who have put together an album covering some of their favorite artists. Their epic-sounding cover versions lend the classic sound of Jazz to contemporary songwriting through reinterpretations of songs by Little Dragon, Jay Z and Kanye West, D’Angelo, N.E.R.D, Stereolab, Drake, Meshell Ndegeocello and more. NEXT Collective is Logan Richardson (sax), Walter Smith III (sax), Matthew Stevens (guitar), Gerald Clayton (keys), Kris Bowers (keys), Ben Williams (bass), Jamire Williams (drums) and guest trumpeter Christian Scott.
