"For the latest edition of our interview cloudcast series, we were extremely pleased to speak with legendary vocalist Steve Arrington. Steve takes us on a journey through his career from coming up amongst Ohio's funk musicians and working with Coke Escovedo in San Francisco to time spent as musician and vocalist with the group Slave and his successful solo career. Having been sampled by the likes of Jay-Z, Ice Cube, Brand Nubian, De La Soul and countless others, we also discuss Steve's impact on sample based music and why, to use his words, he feels hip hop through sampling has kept funk music alive. Also listen out for confirmation of a forthcoming full length Dam Funk x Steve Arrington album and a forthcoming release which will see a re-issue of some of Arrington's classic and previously unreleased material!"

Featuring tracks by Steve Arrington, Coke Escovedo, Dâm-Funk, Slave, Dam Funk.
