Jazz-Funk Pushes The Throttle On The 1974 Debut of Speed Limit

Enter the off-the-wall fusion of Speed Limit's '74 debut, a visionary band led by drummer Georges Zinda. "Speed Limit" is a fine example of electric keyboard-rich improvisational Jazz-Funk in the vein of bands like The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report and Herbie Hancock. This band means business as their album opens with a nice heavy drum break similar in sound to Les McCann's renowned "North Carolina" break.

One listener on YouTube says: "this weaves in-between so many genres and time-signatures I'm not sure whether to get up and dance, or light a joint, or get laid, or stare at the wall contemplating the square root of pi. This is a fantastic work of discordant beauty."

Line-up:
◇ Dud Gugrenot - Bass Guitar
◇ George Jinda - Drums, Liner Notes
◇ Jean-Louis Bucchi Electric Piano
◇ Alain Français - Recording Engineer
◇ Gerard Curbillon - Guitar
◇ Shiroc - Percussion
◇ Jeff Seffer - Tenor Saxophone, Soprano Saxophone
