Wu Tang Meets DJ Premier, D.I.T.C., Marley Marl & Pete Rock: The 90's Freestyles

When these 3 talented entities of Hip Hop music met in the mid to late 90's on New York radio, it resulted in magic. From the archives, here are a few radio freestyles by Raekwon & The GZA plus Wu Tang affiliates Killah Priest, Shabazz The Disciple and La The Darkman rhyming over the production of DJ Premier, D.I.T.C.Marley Marl & Pete Rock live on the NYC radio airwaves. This collection includes moments from the Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito show, Mr. Magic & Mister Cee's 91.5 FM show, The Halftime Show and Hot 97's Future Flavaz.

For those that remember the mid to late 90's era of Hip Hop, these artists (and radio shows) were at a a height of their musical output with great originality between their sounds. For New Yorkers it was a special time for underground radio with a number of great shows to hear up and down the dial. Each of these artists contributed to the bulk of classic Hip Hop during these years, which in turn had many people rushing to tape the next episode of their favorite a radio show.

If you're a fan of Wu Tang, DJ Premier, D.I.T.C., Marley Marl & Pete Rock I hope this collection is an exciting look at a collaboration of great minds, one which we haven't heard of on official album releases.
